Breast augmentation revisions can include multiple procedures depending on your presentation and are very individualized to each patient. Sometimes it does include a lift, but the price can vary depending on the extent of the lift. It is also possible to reduce breast volume without lifting the tissue (usually via liposuction) but all reductions that are performed by making incisions will also include a lift. Of course, the breast reduction vs. breast lift question is not really cut and dry because every woman is unique. Traditional methods of a breast reduction resulted in the breasts “bottoming out” over time. Our talented plastic surgeons perform breast reductions to maximize projection, minimize scarring, and aim to maintain nipple sensation. This process results in a breast lift at the time of breast reduction surgery.
The breast lift surgery and breast augmentation procedure are two completely different procedures and, while the combination of the two treatments may be necessary to meet one person’s goals, a breast lift alone may be enough to yield satisfactory results in others. Breast Lift. Breast lift surgery results in breasts that are firmer, perkier, and higher on the chest. Depending on the severity of the lift, the body’s entire silhouette can be enhanced. Unlike breast reduction, however, breast lift procedures do not make the breasts significantly smaller (change in breast volume) as little to no breast tissue is removed. The only way you could need breast implants at the time of a breast reduction is if your surgeon removed too much breast tissue. This is extremely unlikely with an experienced Plastic Surgeon. Implants add volume, whereas a reduction makes you smaller and lifts and reshapes your breasts to make you perkier.

Breast Augmentation. The goal of a breast augmentation is to simply change the size, shape, and contour of a woman’s breast. Just like a breast lift and a breast reduction, doctors will want to know that you have a stable weight and that you do not have any medical conditions that will put you at risk.
